2019 Rosé of Grenache, Sonoma county

Vineyard notes

This year’s Rosé comes from two well-known, carefully selected Sonoma County vineyards: Landa and Flora Marie. Landa Vineyard, which we use for several of our Rhônes, is located in the low eastern foothills of the Mayacamas, while Flora Marie is farmed at a much higher elevation by renowned farmer Ulysses Valdez. The 2019 vintage was the first in our new winery which opened in January and was marked by heavy rains and stable summer temperatures. Thankfully, we had already picked all of our fruit before the Kincade Fire started, and we had back-up power for the winery.

Tasting notes

More tangerine in color than its predecessor, this Rosé beautifully expresses the lively, fresh aromatics of the 2019 vintage, including lime zest, honeydew and stone fruit. Guava and green apple grace the palate with vibrancy and texture, and no residual sugar.
